About the Runner's High?
The Runner’s High 5K was created in honor of Kevin Ortega, a dear friend who lost his battle with addiction. His life, story, and impact inspired us to take action — to honor his memory and to support others who are still struggling. What began as a tribute to Kevin has grown into a community movement for remembrance, hope, and healing.
This event is more than a race, it’s a day dedicated to lifting up those affected by addiction. Participants come together to celebrate resilience, raise awareness, and stand united against defeating substance use. Each step taken represents compassion, support, and a shared commitment to helping individuals on their journey to recovery. Join us as we run for Kevin, for those we’ve lost, and for those who are still fighting.
All proceeds from The Runner’s High 5K directly support The Potters Recovery Center, providing vital care and resources for those battling addiction.
